Outdoor Digital Photography Course

Both the theory of digital photography as well as field exercises to put the theories into practice will be the topic of this seminar. Participants will learn techniques for improving the technical aspects as well as the aesthetic composition of their photos. Since computer manipulation of digital images is now routine photography, basic image processing will also be covered.

Topics covered in the first session include:

  • What different exposure settings are (aperture priority, shutter priority)

  • The effect of the shutter speed and aperture size on the image

  • What is image stabilization?

  • Pixels-what are they and how many are enough?

Second session includes:

·         Image cropping, resizing and printing
·         Color manipulation—color restoration
·         Artistic filters and what they do
·         File storage and archiving

The class is limited to 8 participants who must supply their own cameras.
